For Anyone You Think Could Outdo Me

Congratulations to Mr. Joseph R. Halbert for correctly naming "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys as the Tuesday Song of the Day. I said it to the lady friend this weekend, and I'll say it again here: "Sabotage" gets my vote for best music video of the 90's.

You might disagree with me on that point, and if you do, I would love to hear your suggestion for the #1 spot.

Question of the Day:

What is the first word that comes to mind when I see the following photo?
Answer:
Schadenfreude. Sweet, sweet schadenfreude.

Well done, Barca.

Best of the 90s? Probably best ever although Warrant's Cherry Pie should compete just for shear audacity, trashiness and kitsch.

I am indifferent about the 90's, but as for my birth decade, the 80's, there is no doubt that the Men With Hats song Safety Dance is a "safe" bet to be at the top. The use of midgets and ribbon dancing blend perfectly into pure greatness.

Ok. I think the best videos (in no order) have to be Sabatoge, Don't Speak (No Doubt), California Love (Tupac), November Rain (GnR), Waterfalls (TLC).

You may get a "kick" out of the photo, but just wait 'till you have a 7 year old Haitian cursing out the tv in some unknown lingo because of the outsome!

Connor P.,

It's good to see that "Cherry Pie" has not gone quietly into the music video night.

Connor H.,

Who doesn't love the use of rhythmic gymnastics and "little people"?

Joey,

I couldn't not agree more with the nominations of "November Rain" and "California Love". When you're giving viewers a sweeping shot of Slash dropping a guitar solo in front of New Mexican church from a helicopter, that is guaranteed to work. Also, the "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" aesthetic in "California Love" is classic.

Ward and 'Tilla, a.k.a. Cole,

Your parents didn't know that Samuel liked Man.U. before adopting him? I'm not saying that he needs to go back to Haiti, but you might want to engage in a light session of brain-washing.
