Atonement is fantastic.
Let me know if We Were Soldiers is any good. The movie based on it was pretty terrible.
P.S. Gotta go with one big table at social gatherings like the one described in the previous post. The older you get, the more difficult it is to assemble a group of friends willing and able to cause such seating-oriented havoc. Plus it's Abilene, so who cares.

The lyrics are actually from "Let Down" on Ok Computer. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, though.
