While "not reaching the LCS" may be true, I ask you this: What other franchise can claim that they overpaid Alex Rodriguez by $100 million five years too early, and what other franchise routinely trades young pitching prospets (when that's exactly what they need) for more outfielders? See, it's not all bad, right?
